The New York promissory note templates are designed to be used for secured or unsecured loans. The templates are available as .PDF or Word files and may be downloaded via the links provided on this page. The templates require the submission of the principal sum, interest rate, payment schedule, and other conditions of a loan agreement. Additionally, secured notes require a description of what the borrower has pledged as collateral (unsecured notes do not have this requirement). Once the template has been filled out, the lender, borrower, and witnesses must sign the document in order for it to be legally valid.
